Jazmyn and Justin’s intimate wedding in North Dakota is one of my absolute faves to date.

These two have been together for 10 years, have 3 kids, and had been married to each other in the past. So they focused their big day entirely on what meant the most to them, and that’s why it turned out perfectly! Read more about their big day below & take it as inspiration for your own wedding or elopement. Trust me, you’ll want to.

        The Intimate Wedding Day

Not all of their families were completely supportive of their small wedding, unfortunately. So Jazmyn & Justin made the most amazing day out of it despite that. They started off their wedding day with just themselves and their family. They chose to spend the morning together playing croquet, drinking coffee, and eating breakfast together on the balcony. This fam seriously just had FUN, stress-free start to the big day being together!! No worrying about anybody else. No family members, friends, nobody putting pressure on them to do anything or follow any “traditions.”

They both got ready at their house, and Jazmyn actually had bought two wedding dresses beforehand. She didn’t decide which one to wear until she was all ready with her hair and makeup (who says you need to plan ahead?)! She ended up choosing the dress with sleeves for the ceremony, and wore the spaghetti strap silk dress with a veil at the reception.

        Pre-Ceremony Portraits

Jazmyn and Justin were totally down to take a bit of a drive to Turtle River State Park for portraits before their ceremony. It was perfect for everyone to decompress a little, and spend more time as a family while getting excited for the ceremony. Again, let me re-state: your wedding can (and should) be anything you want it to be! Go anywhere you want for your portraits, do them at any time of day. It’s all up to you!

Their ceremony was simple and sweet, with a few guests attending to celebrate with their family. And the rest of the evening was a special time for them to celebrate with each other and their loved ones. It was truly magical to witness. Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Johnson and thanks for letting me be a small part of your day❤️
